Veronika Ilinskaya

Veronika Ilinskaya was born in Moscow and studied at the Central Music School of Moscow Conservatoire, London's Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Mannes College of Music in New York. Veronika owes her music knowledge to Professor and mentor Joan Havill, with whom she studied intensively at Guildhall. She is also grateful for the inspiring coaching of Menahem Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), with whom she took many classes from 2002 in the US, France and the UK. Veronika has performed in London at the Purcell Room, Cadogan Hall and St Martin in the Fields, The Lincoln Centre, New York and venues in Moscow, Vancouver, Dubai, Beiruit, Paris and Beijing. She has performed in the presence of HRH the Duke of Edinburgh. Concerto appearances include playing with the CBSO (with whom she has recorded Scriabin’s Piano Concerto for Landor Records). She revived the Medtner Piano Concerto No. 3, unheard since 1946 under conductor Maxime Tortelier. Veronika has won numerous prizes in international piano competitions around the world. She is an official Steinway artist and is a member of the teaching staff at the PianoMan Scholarships Scheme. Current and former scholars and concert goers have been inspired by her virtuosity and excellent teaching.
