Born in Sydney, Daisy is currently undergoing her undergraduate studies with Senior Professor Joan Havill at The Guildhall School of Music & Drama where she was granted Direct Entry into BMus2 as a Developmental & Alumni Trust Scholar in 2018. She recently received a grant from The Sidney Perry Foundation and The Zetland Foundation to help support her studies abroad. She has also been generously supported by the PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation and Kathleen Holmes McCrae Pianoforte Scholarship.
In 2018, she premiered Australia’s first Steinway & Sons Heliconia designed by the French crystal maker Lalique. This year she has been invited to play with Lincoln Center Stage in a piano quintet on board Holland America Liner in partnership with RWS Entertainment Group. Daisy has been a winner of the ZONTA International Young Performer’s Award and the 2MBS FM Young Virtuoso Award. She has performed in venues across Australia, Canada, USA, U.K. and Europe. She has also broadcasted multiple programs on radio station Fine Music 102.5.
She has received fully-funded fellowships to PianoSummer New Paltz, Pianofest in the Hamptons; Kawai International Piano Masterclass Festival, Young Artist Summerfest at The Curtis Institute of Music, Australian Youth Orchestra National Music Camp and Internationale Sommerklavier Fest in Germany. She has performed in masterclasses with Robert McDonald, John Perry, Vladimir Feltsman, Alexander Korsantia, Nelita True, Hae-Sun Paik, James Giles and Philip Kawin.
Daisy is an avid chamber musician participating in numerous chamber programs such as AMPA Advanced Chamber Festival, AYO Chamber Series and ‘Rising Stars’ Chamber Music program.
At the age of three, she first began learning the piano with her mother who studied at the Hannover Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Germany. Her previous teachers have included Margaret Hair and Dr. Robert Roux.
